Meet the Artist - Jazmin Forlin

My Vision

Looking ahead, one of my greatest ambitions is to use my art as a vehicle to raise awareness about endangered species and the urgent challenges facing wildlife around the world. I believe visual storytelling has the power to connect people emotionally to nature—both to animals they know and love, and to those they may never encounter in the wild.

Through detailed, soulful portraits, I hope to inspire curiosity, compassion, and a deeper sense of responsibility for the natural world. A key part of my vision is to exhibit my work at wildlife and conservation-focused exhibitions, where a portion of the proceeds can be donated directly to organisations working on the front lines of species protection and habitat preservation.

I would love to collaborate with conservation groups in creating art that not only celebrates the beauty of wildlife but also actively supports its future—whether through awareness campaigns, fundraising events, or educational partnerships.

For me, art and conservation go hand in hand, and I hope to grow a practice that uses creativity as a force for meaningful impact.

About Me

I'm a self-taught wildlife and landscape artist, originally from Australia and now living in Switzerland. Art has always been part of who I am—ever since I could hold a pencil, I’ve been drawing, creating, and finding quiet joy in expressing the world around me. But it wasn’t until two years ago, after moving across the world to Switzerland, that I finally found the courage to take my art seriously. That life-changing leap gave me the clarity and motivation to stop holding back and fully commit to my creative path.

I had dabbled in acrylics a few times before, but it was during this chapter of change that something truly clicked. I became captivated by the process—layering colour, building form, and learning through trial and error. Since then, painting has become more than a passion—it’s a part of my identity.

I’m especially drawn to wildlife because it reflects one of my greatest lifelong loves: animals. I'm constantly learning about different species, and painting them allows me to connect with their energy and character in a deeply personal way. I aim to capture not just what they look like, but their soul—their strength, gentleness, and presence.

In 2025, I began exhibiting my work for the first time and completed my first commission. It was a big step after years of creating quietly, but it confirmed what I already felt deep down: this is what I’m meant to do. My goal is to become a full-time, sustainable artist—creating striking, heartfelt pieces that inspire others and speak to the beauty, fragility, and power of nature.
